Today we cooked bean dip. It wasn't that hard, and not messy at all. We got ideas from the cookbook on what to do with the beans my dad cooked for the tire changing party on Friday.

I got to put the hot sauce and popcorn salt in and measure out the roasted red peppers. And, I got to pulse the food processor. That was very fun, and not so loud. It is much better than a blender.

I love this bean dip. It's better than the kind you get in a can. Well, maybe tied, but the kind you make yourself is more fun.  

This weekend we went to Goliad State Park Friday after school. We met Grandma and Grandpa there - they were there in their trailer and had our cabin all ready for us. I slept in the camper because mommy and daddy were going on a bike ride early in the morning.

Cinnomon (Grandma and Grandpa's dog) was ve\y happy to see me. She loves to go camping because she gets to smell lots of new things.

I was really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really hoping that we could play basketball, but there was no court to play on. That was disappointing. Also, there was no playground and that was boring too. 

Something good was getting a patch that says Goliad State Park. I am going to sew it on a cloth and collect patches from all the state parks we go to. Another thing was riding my bike. That was very fun. 

The funniest thing on my trip was when we walked around we had to stop almost every 10 feet because Cinnamon had to go to the restroom.

We made smores. I set all of mine on fire, but when we made them the marshmallows actually tasted so good. I wanted them to explode, but they didn't.

I had a really fun weekend. We went to Galveston for some races. I was in the kids k. It was very exciting to beat some bigger kids. I passed 4 of them. There was a real live astronaut at the kid's k greeting us at the finish line. The astronaut at the finish line was from NASA. I loved our vacation.

This picture is American Gothic and it is one of the best pictures. Just to let you know, it is of a farmer and his daughter or wife - whichever you want.

I learned to draw it by copying step by step and I really like it. One of the things I like about the picture is that the farmer is bald - that is really funny. There is nothing wrong with being bald, but it is funny. The colors are nice. The roof color is kind of funky. 

Drawing the details of this picture was really hard, but it was fun. This picture is not abstract - it is real.  

Last weekend I went to Porter with mommy to visit Maw Maw.

I rode my horse, Cricket, and we went through a trail. The trail had a lot of water and it was deep water. We rode the horses through the water. Cricket tried to sit down but I had to kick her to keep from sitting down.

It was fun. 

I went to my grandparent's house for Christmas. They live in Porter which is in North Houston.

I got lots of presents like Santa brought me a recorder, a bow and arrow that shoots marshmallows, a bunch of nuts and acorns and pecans, and a mini dry erase board, and two nut crackers. I also got from my other grandparents a desk and shelf from IKEA. There is another present from my grandparents that I can't open until we visit them tomorrow.

Some other things I got were an art kit and we got a bunch of popcorn.

While we were there Grandma Great cooked us some special dirty rice. The rice isn't actualy dirty - that's just what they call it. We also got to ride horses 3 days in a row. It was really fun and really cold.  

I do miss Mommy a lot, but it's nice with Daddy here. He let's me do special things. Like go to the basketball game with him and Maggie.

Speaking of going to the game with Maggie, we went last night. The Longhorns played North Texas which is the Mean Green. What is a Mean Green anyway? They are not really mean, but they are green.  

The score of the game was 88- 65. The Longhorns had the 88! North Texas had the 65. Go Longhorns! 

I miss my mom because she is going on a really lot of trips. That makes me miss her alot. But my mom's trips are really important. I miss her. 

Daddy and I just ate at Luby's. It was very yummy!
